The Aerospace Structures and Materials Laboratory (ASMLab) is based at the University of Naples Federico II in via Claudio campus (Buildings 11-12). It brings together expertise of aerospace engineering to undertake fundamental, applied and industrially-focused research on aerospace structures, structural health monitoring, design, analysis and experimental characterisation. The laboratory has more than 8 staff's members (professors, researchers, post doc and PhD students) and postgraduate students, and a comprehensive range of testing and analysis capabilities. ASMLab collaborates with other Italian, European and international researchers, and works directly with many italian companies. Including the synergistic research area in the vibro-acoustics and flight testing, ASMLab covers a wide area and includes a large, open plan laboratory area with a range of specialised equipment and a mechanical testing laboratory.
